| Balenciaga Eyewear Company Info | In the year 2004, the introduction of Men's ready to wear and accessories collections. Introduction of balenciaga Edition, a collection of items inspired by Cristobal Balenciaga's haute couture archives. And now, balenciaga is also very well known for creating avant-garde structural pieces, straddling the edge of fashion and forecasting the future of women's ready to wear fashion including the eyeglasses.
The Safilo Group has signed a five year license agreement with Balenciaga for worldwide production and distribution of its eyeglasses. Infused with slick details courtesy of the brand ready-to-wear designer, Nicolas Ghesquire, the eyeglasses collection also will feature elements of Balenciaga sunglasses models from the Seventies.
Set to be unveiled in October, the first Balanciaga eyeglasses collection will solely feature women's sunglasses. Prescription eyeglasses and a men's line eventually will be added, said Vittorio Tabacchi (chairman of Safilo Group). |
